Top Gun: Maverick was the second highest grossing film of 2022, the highest-grossing film for Tom Cruise, and it helped usher audiences back to theaters after Covid. It comes as no real surprise, but the news is certainly welcome that Paramount is gearing up for Top Gun 3.
Top Gun 3 is reportedly being written by Top Gun: Maverick co-writer Ehren Kruger, and the sequel will bring back Tom Cruise, Miles Teller, and Glen Powell.
Tom Cruise is currently working on Mission Impossible 8 (Dead Reckoning Part 2) and recently signed a new deal with Warner Bros., so it may be a while before we see Top Gun 3 on the big screen.
Nothing will make us happier than to sit in a theater in the Summer and hear Danger Zone by Kenny Loggins one more time.
